An introduction about me begins with my introduction of Photoshop 7, thanks to my step father. As a professional comic book inker, he would let me use the program I would later make into my life's work.
I learned the practical uses for Photoshop/design, and that the world is designed with Photoshop/Illustrator.

I was introduced to social media marketing, as the Orange County Chapter president of American Outlaws, the United States soccer supporters club. At the helm of the group during the 2014 Men’s & 2015 Women’s World Cups, I had to develop not only my skills design-wise, but in the growing market of Social Media, connecting with fans, as well as communicating with organizations and leaders.

I brought those skills to the hockey world, in the winter of 2015. Brainstorming over the concept of supporters culture into the hockey community, I created Teal City Crew, built with the fanbase I grew from 2011-2015 on my blog, Shark-Tank. Since then, I’ve created a community of 20,000 organic followers across social media platforms, in 30 states & 11 countries, all with the purpose of gathering “San Jose’s Loudest & Proudest”, while being a catalyst for social good. Organizing world-wide events, creating marketing strategies, designing and selling merchandise that includes over 1,000 of our iconic scarves, and being the overall “man of many hats”, Teal City Crew has become my life-project I’m proud of.

You can see who I am, through these three phrases I live by:
Create Authentic Engagements -
People can see dishonesty or empty words from a MILE away. Whether it's a handshake with a stranger, or influencing thousands of people online, authentic engagements are vital to this world. Every day, I create authentic engagements. From a "How's your day" at the cashier of a store, to a social media post via my professional life online, those connections I make, come from somewhere truthful and impactful.

If It Isn't Fun, Don't Do It. -
This one is easier said, than done. There is a lot to sacrifice with this phrase. Because within your realm of "Fun" is also personal morals, enjoyment levels, and personal discipline. If you create healthy boundaries to protect yourself and your morals, things should come naturally. Now, this isn't to say "Quit your job when things get tough!". This is more on the lines of "If you aren't enjoying what you're doing, ask yourself why? What changes can YOU make to better your surroundings?"

I'm very lucky to say that I've been a Zamboni driver, manager for bowling alleys, and worked at a sports bar. And they all brought me joy, not because they're built for fun, but because I made them fun for me.

Make Things Meaningful -
A person can spew a phrase, and talk the talk. One can be a great speaker that is genuine with people. But if there's no impact behind what is said or done, much of it goes to waste. To make things meaningful is to put your heart and soul into everything you create, experience, and DO. Being genuine with others is much easier than being genuine with yourself.

I find myself creating meaningful moments every day, from choosing my attitude, to posting about an athlete’s accomplishment at work.

Professionally, I was selected for the first San Jose Sharks Creative Fellowship Program, presented by Adobe. The 4 month program ran down the list of Adobe Creative Suite applications, applying them to real-world experiences within the sports industry. Led by Sharks and Adobe creative leaders, the program consisted of 2D & 3D design, photo & video editing, and creative marketing strategies.

I currently work with the National Women’s Soccer League, as a freelance gameday content creator, and a subcontractor for Major League Soccer’s referees, as a VAR Assistant for San Jose Earthquakes matches.

My passion for sports & supporters culture goes a long way, as I am an advisor for 6 supporter clubs within NHL, MLS, USL Championship, and USL 2.

In my personal time, I enjoy cycling, cooking at home, collecting sports scarves, dates with my wonderful partner, Briana, and attending concerts and sporting events.

I’m always looking to find that next step in my sports/design career, and would love for your organization to be the next part of my journey!
